We use ‘why’ when we want to find out the reason something
happened or is happening and to know how to apply wisdom in addressing the
issues.
We have come to the end of the year and it’s time to take
stock…just like companies and businesses are doing now. Let’s look back to see
how we fared this year…what we did right and wrong and how to make amends where
we erred. People who don’t make changes remain the way they are. Don’t expect
change using the same method that yielded no results.
Sit down for these few hours left in the year and ask
yourself- What did I do wrong? How did I behave this year? Have I represented
myself in a way that misfits my person? Why did I lose my friends? Why is my
relationship not working? Why did I not get that certificate I wanted? Why did I
not learn what I planned out to learn? Why has my prayers not been answered? Is
it a heart of unforgiveness? Why have I not gone pass this level or status?
Does God want me to learn something that I have refused to learn? Am I where I should
be? If not, what am I doing about it?
If you do not ask yourself these questions, you may deny
yourself what is ordained for you. Don’t fold your arms and watch life pass you
by again in 2016. Make things happen for you. Like the Bible said…work out your
own salvation… (Philippians 2:12e). Don’t let life present to you anything.
Refuse what you don’t want. Demand from life what you desire. Note, there is a
devil in every level. Don’t be discouraged. There is hope when there is life
(Eccl 9:4). The end of the tunnel has light but you need to courageously walk
through the tunnel. Discouragement will only stop you from doing what you ought
to do and cause someone else to take your place.
Resolve in your heart to lean solely on God. He alone can
give you all you need and adds joy…joy unspeakable (Proverbs 10:22)
Looking forward to a GLORIOUS 2016!
Well written. A wonderful 2016 to you
